What are you up to these days?
I am a photographer on maui. I always feared to really dive in and do it as a career. I was afraid of failing and to be honest I still am. When Perri gave me my commission puka set, she said she had this "no fear" mantra keep coming up when she was stringing my set.
What do you do to achieve balance in your life?
Achieving balance is something I struggle with. I like to say yes to everything and anyone that needs help. Slowly, I'm learning the word NO. There is power in saying it, and letting go of other peoples responsibilities.
What words of wisdom would you share with the younger version of yourself if you could talk to her right now?
I would have told my younger self to follow your heart. Don't worry about being successful, that will come. When you really love something you will naturally excel.
What's your favorite place you have travelled to and why?
My favorite place I traveled to would have to be the the Conservatory of Flowers in San Francisco. Its pretty magical. I would spend hours in that humid glass house just taking in all the beauty of each plant and flower amazed by the diversity.
How do your pukas make you feel?
I try and wear them on photoshoots to remind myself to have no fear. My pukas are my power piece.
