Puka Perri has always been more than jewelry. It is a reflection of nature’s artistry, the rhythm of the ocean, and the deep connections we share with one another. Every piece tells a story—not just of the shells, pearls, and luxurious elements that shape it, but of the hands that craft it, the hearts that wear it, and the journey that brings it to life.

With heavy hearts, we once again share that our beloved Perri Ricci, the visionary behind Puka Perri, has passed on. Perri’s love for the ocean and her gift for transforming its treasures into meaningful adornments touched so many lives. She created not only jewelry but a community—a family bonded by beauty, connection, and purpose. Her light continues to shine through the stories she told, the pieces she designed, and the love she poured into everything she created.

To honor her legacy, Perri’s family envisioned continuing her brand. Together with her closest collaborators, they are carrying her vision forward. We will continue to offer our existing designs as well as reopen made-to-order pieces, giving everyone who holds Puka Perri dear a chance to carry her legacy with them, be it through a classic piece or a custom one.

This next chapter is made possible by a dedicated team who worked alongside Perri for years. Paula, a dear friend and creative collaborator, will be playing a key role in carrying the craft forward, along with Luz, Marina, Roberta, and other cherished members of our Puka Perri ‘ohana. We look forward to sharing more about each of them in the future, celebrating the passion and dedication they each bring to the brand.

The purpose of this journey is to carry forward Perri’s vision—a movement of love, resilience, and transformation. She saw beauty in the imperfect, strength in the delicate, and meaning in the smallest of shells. Sharing the same feeling and intention, we ensure that her art continues to bring joy, connection, and healing.

At the heart of Puka Perri has always been a commitment to community and healing. That’s why we’re excited to bring back The Puka Project, a cherished initiative Perri started in 2017 to support individuals facing adversity. Through Puka Drives, the community comes together to collect shells, which are strung into healing Puka Leis for nominated individuals who could use extra love and support. It’s a simple yet powerful way to show that no one is alone, and that healing happens when we come together.

We want to honor the three individuals who had already been selected, and who are patiently awaiting their necklaces. We will focus on completing these first. There will be another opportunity for nominations in the next season—traditionally during the holidays—when we’ll invite the community to submit new honorees.
