Four Seasons Resort Maui proudly announces its inaugural “Showcase Under the Stars” fundraiser gala set for Friday, November 24, 2017, from 5pm to 10pm.  Over 45 Maui artists, including Puka Perri, have generously donated works of art for the auction, which benefits local cancer patients by allocating proceeds to Pacific Cancer Foundation, Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children, and American Cancer Society.

"Showcase Under the Stars" comes on the heels of the Resort’s highly anticipated annual event, the Day of Hope 10K Run / 5K Run & Walk.

 “Every year, we welcome hundreds from the community for our Day of Hope event, but what the community may not know is that our employees hold fundraisers throughout the year in our united fight against cancer,” General Manager and Regional Vice President Jean Claude Wietzel explains.  

One of the most popular is an employee art auction, in which artisans from the Resort’s daily open-air “Artists’ Showcase” gallery donate pieces for employees to bid on.

 “This year, we’re excited to extend this opportunity to the community through the Showcase Under the Stars. We look forward to welcoming art lovers and collectors from across the island,” says Wietzel.

The exceptional pieces offered for this fundraiser collectively amount to over $120,000.  “The artists’ generous donations at this beautiful event will give guests the incredible opportunity to acquire truly special fine art while simultaneously funding the fight against cancer,” says the Resort’s art coordinator Rose Potter.  Notable painters Lori Koprowski, Kari McCarthy, Melissa Chimera, and Jan Kasprzycki as well as sculptor Tim Garcia are all graciously donating pieces.  Other art mediums available will include photography, mixed media, jewelry, ceramics, glass and more.
